Toxic or deceived: which one is yours?
A toxic relationship is the one where you feel emotionally and physically weak,damaged by behaviour of your partner. Its an insidious thing toxic relationship do.
Are you the one who is living in such type of relationship? Symptoms of toxic relationship are:
=> When your relationship is toxic you feel alone and lost.
=> You feel there are so many fights where you are blamed.
=> You started avoiding talking with your partner because talking with your partner leads to conflict.
=> You started hurting yourself because of your partner deeds .
=> You started blaming yourself for the consequences.
=> You don't understand your own perception of ongoing situations or feelings.
=> You stop talking to your friends and family, because you feel like they cannot understand what you are going through.
=> You thought of changing yourself to make your relationship right just like it was before.
=> You started living in anxiety and stress, always thinking about how to make your relationship right like it was earlier.
=> You wanted to get over it but feel that you cannot live without your partner.
You started overthinking all the things that got wrong and wanted to not think about it but you don't know how to stop thinking about it.
=> You feel sleepless at night thinking about all those promises your partner have made with you.
You do not realize that you are being preyed until you see you are the only one who is being affected by all these misunderstandings and you only want to make things right. You were procrastinating your task ,work because you were thinking about relationship but is your partner doing the same? Efforts should be put from both side. So if your partner is also worried for relationship just like you then you should talk and sort the things out. There are some of the ways that can make your relationship better:
=> You both should spend some quality time with each other and stop talking about the topics that can create aruguments.
=> Talk about your first date, and how you both fall in love. Talk about romantic moments you both have spent with each other.
=> A relationship is based on solid underlying friendship. Tell your partner all the secrets and feelings that you would have shared with your close friends.
=> Always appreciate your partner and his/her efforts. Motivate and encourage your partner and don't let him/her feel low. Make him/her feel happy and be generous with your compliments.
=> If you feel like your relationship could benefit from professional advice, attend some seminar on love, watch some videos on youtube. You can also seek help from your friends, family for the advice.
=> Listen to the thoughts and feelings of your partner carefully and make him/her feel that he/she can willingly share their thoughts and feelings with you. Let her/him know that their feelings are important to you. Respect your partner feelings.
=> You both should be close enough to share everything with each other yet far enough to have your own individual identity. Your relationship shouldn't affect your career.
=> Fights are common in relationships but make sure that whenever there is fight,arguments,you both don't disrespect each other and there should be no use of abusive words which can make scars more serious and make situation more critical.
But what if you find your partner cheating on you and not accepting his/her mistake because he/she may have changed now and found someone new so thats why behaving like this with you. And after so many efforts nothing is going okay in your relationship, it has turned more toxic that before. On that case you need to move on. So moving on from such a toxic one is not easy. And don't think that you will alone overcome this. I mean you have to realize it alone but in this process of moving on you have to find good people who can help you in forgetting your past and try to pay attention towards your hobbies. Concentrate on the things you like to do. Ask yourself the person because of whom you are crying does actually deseve your tears? Try to find what you love, what are your goals and invest all your time with your own things like self caring, self pampering. Whenever you feel down or sad talk to your friends,family or watch some motivating or funny videos which ever you like. At nights you will miss your partner but just stick to your decision and just make your mind clear that you don't want him/her to hurt you or use you anymore. And soon you will recover from it. All you need to do is stay strong in such hard times.
